The UAL - ANECOOP Foundation was created in 2004 to coordinate the research and experimentation activities, in a common project, of the second grade Agricultural Cooperative ANECOOP and the University of Almeria...
We study the factors that influence the various eco-compatible plant production technologies with repercussions on the profitability of farms, on the overall quality of the products and on the sustainability of the system.
We raise and solve problems related to agri-environmental and food safety policies, oriented towards sustainable technological development.
We transfer and facilitate the transfer and valorization of the scientific achievements of the research groups and departments operating in the Foundation.
We cooperate nationally and internationally in development projects and training activities related to agriculture, the environment and renewable energies applied to agriculture.

Here we develop pioneering projects that combine science, technology and real field practice, offering solutions to the current challenges of the fruit and vegetable sector. We are a bridge between university education and business reality, generating knowledge that has a direct impact on farmers, technicians and society in general.

The Ual-Anecoop Experimental Farm Foundation has received a grant from the European Union under the NextGenerationEU Fund, in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, for a 70 KW mixed self-consumption photovoltaic plant on canopies in parking and ground level in the area of the irrigation pond at the UAL-Anecoop Experimental Farm within the program of incentives linked to self-consumption and storage, with renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, managed by the Andalusian Regional Government, through the Andalusian Energy Agency.
