This Thursday, a group of members of the area of startup of Cajamar companies carried out a technical visit to the UAL-Anecoop Experimental Farm, to get a first-hand look at the operation of the renowned almeria farming system and the innovations that are positioning the province's agricultural sector as an international benchmark in efficiency and sustainability.

During the tour of the facilities, visitors were able to observe different experimental trials aimed at optimizing fruit and vegetable production by means of techniques based on the sustainable agriculture, biological control and efficient water management. Those responsible for the farm explained the progress achieved thanks to the collaboration between the University of Almeria and the Anecoop Foundation, highlighting the importance of applied research to improve the competitiveness of the sector.
The Cajamar delegation showed special interest in projects related to the digitalization of crops, the use of advanced sensors and new management strategies in greenhouses, key elements to boost the growth of new technology companies in the agri-food sector.
