The University of Almeriathrough the UCC+i and the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) of the Vice-Rectorate for Science Policy, organizes each year the following activities European Researchers' Night in Almería, at the Patio de la Delegación del Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía, Mirador de la Rambla and Rambla Federico García Lorca, from 18:00-22:00 hours.
As in previous editions, during the week of the event, the following will take place "previous activities"The program will be carried out in the different high schools of the province of Almeria.
For the fourteenth consecutive year, and at the same time that almost 400 European cities in more than 30 countriesWe invite you to discover the most human side of research through direct contact and conversation with the experts of Almeria. This is the European Researchers' Night, which in 2025 will be held on the weekend of September 26.
The European Researchers' Night is a European science outreach project promoted since 2005 by the European Commission. European Commission within the actions Marie Sktodowska-Curie of the Horizon Europe program.
In this edition, La Noche is once again committed to fill workshops, experiments, routes and talks on science and research. the streets and squares of Andalusian cities.
The main objective of this project is to bring research closer to the public in a rigorous and always fun way, so that they can learn about its work, the benefits it brings to society and its impact on everyday life.
The initiative, called on this occasion 'Open Researchers 2024-25It is made up of activities in which researchers from the participating centers and collaborators in the activity bring their work and concerns to the public in a different way.
The 2025 edition is once again dedicated to the Horizon Europe Missions. Horizon Europe and includes among its main innovations the launch of Missions as a new way to implement R&D&I with a social and economic impact in areas of interest for the EU and its citizens. These missions are defined as a portfolio of interdisciplinary actions based on R&D&I, aimed at achieving a bold and inspiring, yet measurable, goal that has a major impact on society.
The EU missions will contribute to the objectives of the European Green Pactthe European Cancer Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals.
