AGR-198. Rural Engineering

You are here: Home / Research and experiments / Research groups / AGR-198. Rural Engineering

The Rural Engineering Group was set up to find solutions to the problems affecting agricultural society in Almeria. We create technology to make the Almerian Agricultural Model sustainable, while also adapting technologies developed in other regions to the needs of local farmers and the ancillary farming industry.

The standing of the group is attested to by the fact that in recent years we have produced 10 doctoral theses, 28 research projects and 7 patents, as well as signing 66 contracts with businesses. We consider university-business collaboration to be key to researching and solving the problems faced by the sector, from an eminently practical standpoint. Likewise, we have also published 167 articles in national and international journals indexed by the influential International Scientific Information.
